ABOUT

I was born in London, and raised in Paris and Johannesburg.

I started directing plays and musicals when I should’ve been concentrating on my studies in History & Political Science at Trinity College Dublin. When I got laughed out of my drama school auditions, I started making short films while working as a runner and production assistant, before graduating with an MA in Directing Fiction from the National Film & Television School (NFTS). The Cocaine Famine, my sixth and most recent short film, has screened at 40 international festivals, picking up 10 awards and further nominations for Best Comedy Short and Best Director.

Since 2019, I’ve worked as a freelance director and creative at BBC Creative, on everything from promos, to brand films, to international 360 campaigns - in video, social, radio and print. I’ve picked up a couple of Promax along the way.

My debut feature Hitchhikers is in the hands of Bankside Films working with Thunder Road Pictures and Bridgeway Films, but I have experience of long form after assisting Florian Zeller on his Oscar-winning debut The Father.

While my work often has a serious message to deliver (on power, colonialism, or trust), I like to inject everything with a creative playfulness to make films and ads that say something but are narratively engaging and fun to watch.

I live in East London with my partner and our two boys.
